The best New Zealand treesProbably the best known of New Zealand trees, the Variegated Lemonwood (Pittosporum eugenioides ‘variegatum’) is extensively cultivated in many countries. Leaves emit a pleasant citron aroma when crushed. Fragrant creamy yellow flowers appear in spring, followed by yellow fruit which becomes black and sticky when ripe.
